Our podcast starts out with a short history of sex education in the United States, but specifically in Utah. In the podcast, we dicuss our personal experiencs as students who grew up in Utah and we talk about our lacking sex education experience. This is followed by an interview with Marilee Coles-Ritchie, an education professor at Westminster University in Salt Lake City. As a teacher's teacher, Marilee dicusses her thoughts on this topic while referencing conversations she has had with other educators over her expansive carreer. We finish with a question about what sex education could look like. We dive deeper into this question and talk about what we would like to see in sex education. What can sex education be in Utah?
